​The Administrative Council of the Centre held its Forty-first Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. on October 22, 2007, in conjunction with the Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the other organizations belonging to the World Bank Group and of the International Monetary Fund.

At the Meeting, the Council, on the nomination of its Chairman, World Bank President Robert B. Zoellick, unanimously elected Nassib G. Ziadé as ICSID's Deputy Secretary-General for a full term of six years.

The Administrative Council also expressed its appreciation to Antonio R. Parra for his exceptionally distinguished service as the first Deputy Secretary-General of the Centre in the period 1999 to 2005.
