ICSID is pleased to announce that it has entered into an Agreement on General Arrangements with the of the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC). The agreement was signed on behalf of ICSID by Meg Kinnear, Secretary-General of ICSID, and on behalf of QICDRC by Faisal Rashid Al-Sahouti, CEO of QICDRC, during a ceremony in Qatar.

The Agreement is based on Article 63 of the ICSID Convention and provides for the possibility of holding ICSID hearings at QICDRC’s facilities, reinforcing ICSID's truly global presence and services. The Agreement also encourages knowledge sharing between ICSID and the QICDRC related to arbitration, conciliation, and other methods of dispute resolution.
