Schreuer’s Commentary on the ICSID Convention’ holds a unique place in the literature on international investment law and dispute settlement. Now in its third edition, the Commentary reviews the drafting history of ICSID Convention provisions and their interpretation by ICSID tribunals and ad hoc committees over half a century. It has served as an indispensable resource for practitioners, academics, and arbitrators alike.

ICSID and the University of Vienna are pleased to host an event in Vienna with Christoph H. Schreuer, general editor Stephan W. Schill, editor August Reinisch, Anthony Sinclair, and other editors and contributors to celebrate the role the Commentary has played in building an understanding of the ICSID Convention.

The event will also feature recorded interviews with arbitrators, practitioners, and academics on the Commentary's influence on investment law jurisprudence, including Stanimir Alexandrov, Juan Fernández-Armesto, Crina Baltag, Christine Binder, Cavinder Bull, Marinn Carlson, Anne Hoffmann, Anna Joubin-Bret, Meg Kinnear, Ursula Kriebaum, Carolyn Lamm, Loretta Malintoppi, Antonio Parra, Abby Cohen Smutny, Brigitte Stern, Michael Waibel, Koh Swee Yen, and Ohara Yoshimi.
