   H.E. Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of International Cooperation of Egypt and Ms. Meg Kinnear, Secretary-General of ICSID.

During her visit to Cairo in September 2016, Ms. Meg Kinnear, the Secretary-General of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) met with H.E. Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of International Cooperation of Egypt, who is also Egypt’s Representative on the ICSID Administrative Council.

ICSID is one of the five organizations constituting the World Bank Group and is the world’s leading institution devoted to international investment dispute settlement. Egypt became a Member State of ICSID in 1972 after ratifying the ICSID Convention.

On the occasion of ICSID’s 50th anniversary events held in Cairo on September 27 and 28, 2016, Dr. Nasr and Ms. Kinnear discussed the role of ICSID and the ongoing evolution in investment dispute resolution.
