The hearing on jurisdiction in Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission v. United States of America (ICSID Case No. UNCT/23/4) is scheduled to take place before a three-member arbitral tribunal from Monday, September 8 through Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT.
The case was initiated under the North American Free Trade Agreement (“NAFTA”), the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (“USMCA”) and the Arbitration Rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (1976) (“UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules”).
The hearing will be open to the public except portions involving confidential information. It will be broadcast in English in room MC C1-110 (C1 floor) of the World Bank “Main Complex Building” located at 700 18th Street NW Washington, D.C., 20433.
