On Wednesday, 3 June 2026, Young ICSID co-organized a panel discussion on "Careers in Arbitration" in Madrid, Spain.

The event, moderated by Natalia Mayoral (DAC Beachcroft), brought together practitioners to share their experiences and insights on building a career in international arbitration, offering attendees a valuable window into the diverse paths that lead to the field. Speakers Alexandre Alonso (Senior Associate, Freshfields), Ana Martínez Valls (Associate, Baker Botts), Oliver Cojo (Partner, Arias), and Pablo Jaroslavsky (Counsel, Dechamps International Law) drew on their respective backgrounds and practice experiences to offer perspectives on what it takes to develop a career in arbitration today.

The event was co-organized with ICC YAAF, CEIA-40, IASC, MAD VYAP and hosted by Freshfields in Madrid, Spain.
