The Association of Young Arbitrators (AYA) has launched the Africa Arbitration Academy. The Academy was established due to the rising demand for improved expertise and training of arbitration practitioners in Africa and to expose young practitioners in Africa to the current trends and developments in international commercial and investment arbitration. The inaugural Academy program will be taught by international arbitration experts, heads of arbitration institutions, in-house counsel, and judges. Meg Kinnear, ICSID Secretary-General, and Paul-Jean Le Cannu, ICSID Team Leader and Legal Counsel, will participate in the training program.
