Some 19 States designated 101 individuals to ICSID's Panel of Arbitrators and Panel of Conciliators in the 2017.

Each ICSID Contracting State may designate up to four persons to each Panel. The designees may, but need not, be nationals of the designating country. In addition, up to ten persons may be designated by the Chairman of the ICSID Administrative Council. Each designee serves for a renewable term of six years.

From January 1 to December 31, 2017, designations to the ICSID Panels were made by the governments of Albania, Algeria, Australia, Chile, China, Croatia, Egypt, Estonia, Ghana, Jordan, Luxembourg, Mauritania, Oman, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Timor-Leste, Togo, and the United Arab Emirates.

Dr. Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank Group, in his capacity as Chairman of the Administrative Council, designated 10 persons to the Panel of Arbitrators and 10 persons to the Panel of Conciliators, effective September 16, 2017.

The names of the designees and the effective dates of their terms in office are listed below. For some of the designees the acceptance procedure is to be completed.

The complete list of the members of the ICSID Panels of Arbitrators and of Conciliators is updated on a regular basis and can be found here.
